Adam Meadows

Principal Scientist, Data Science at Amyris

Adam Meadows has worked in the scientific field for over 10 years. Adam began their career in 2006 as a Post-doctoral Researcher at Genentech, where they built a dynamic flux balance model of E coli describing the metabolic behavior of an industrial E coli strain and fermentor level variables. In 2007, they joined Amyris as a Principal Scientist, Data Science, Principal Scientist, Process Development, and Principal Scientist, Biology. In their role as Associate Director, Biology, they were responsible for building out a next generation molecule generation pipeline within the Amyris infrastructure. Adam also served as a Biofene Task Force lead, managing the strategic direction of the Biofene strain engineering activities. Adam Meadows also held the roles of Senior Scientist, Biology, Scientist 3, Biology, Scientist 2, Computational Biology, and Scientist 1, Computational Biology at Amyris.

Adam Meadows completed their Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University between 1997 and 2001. Adam then went on to obtain a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley between 2001 and 2006. In 2012, they earned a Certificate in Advanced Course Microbial Physiology and Fermentation Technology from Delft University of Technology.
