Dmitry Grapov has over 13 years of experience in data science, engineering, and biotechnology. Dmitry began their career in 2007 with a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry with an emphasis in Biotechnology from UC Davis. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Lipidomics and Bioinformatics researcher at the USDA-ARS-WHNRC Nutritional Metabolomics Research Group. Dmitry then moved to UC Davis in 2012 as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the NIH West Coast Metabolomics Center. In 2013, they were a Principal Statistician at UC Davis and Director of Data Science and Engineering at CDS - Creative Data Solutions. In 2015, they became a Data Scientist, Genomics and Data Science at Monsanto Company, and in 2018 they were a Data Science Manager, Predictive Platforms and Engineering at Centene Corporation and a Data Science and Engineering Cloud Platform Lead at Bayer. Most recently, they are a Senior Director, Data Science at Amyris, as well as a Principal Data Scientist in Bioinformatics, Automation and Software Engineering.
Dmitry Grapov obtained a B.S. in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Utah between 2000 and 2007. Dmitry then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry with Emphasis in Biotechnology at the University of California, Davis, which they completed in 2012. Following this, they obtained a Certificate in Business Development from the University of California, Davis Graduate School of Management.
