Matthew Jones

Matthew Jones has held a variety of positions in the field of biotechnology. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at Vivoscript, first as a Biotech Intern and then as a Research Associate. In 2014, they worked as a Laboratory Assistant II at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they assisted in the metabolic engineering of E. Coli. for the production of biofuels. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at DePaul University as a Graduate Assistant. Finally, from 2017 to the present, they have been employed at Amyris, where they have held the roles of Scientist, Senior Associate Scientist, Associate Scientist III, and Associate Scientist II.

Matthew Jones attended the University of California, Los Angeles from 2009-2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry. Matthew then attended DePaul University from 2015-2017 and earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Biochemistry and Medicinal Chemistry.
