Wenqing Zhong is a research associate with Amyris, having joined in 2022. Prior to this, they were a graduate research assistant at Columbia University in the City of New York from 2022, where they worked on the synthesis of mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN) for oral drug loading and releasing tests and engaged in the commercialization of the Bio-microbur project. Wenqing also had experience in the cell passaging of the HCT 116 cell line. From 2021 to 2017, they were a research associate at the Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts Process Development Unit (ABPDU) and an assistant engineer at Wuxi Hongyi Logistics Equipment Corporation, Ltd. In 2016, they were a tutor at Laney College, and in 2014 they were a student representative at Kaplan International Languages.
Wenqing Zhong began their educational journey in 2015 at Laney College, where they earned an Associate of Science degree in Mathematics & Science Dual Degree. Wenqing then moved on to the University of California, Berkeley in 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Most recently, in 2020, they began their Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
