William Christie

William Christie has a career spanning over 15 years. William began their career in 2005 as a Technical Support for Geek Squad. In 2011, they moved to UC Davis as a Research Assistant, where they conducted DNA and RNA extractions, sample preparation and reagent preparation. In 2013, they joined Genentech as a Senior Bioprocess Technician and Research Assistant (under contract to Aerotek). In this role, they supported validation commissioning activities, worked alongside cross functional support groups, and served as the point of contact to coordinate and perform various tasks. William also purifed DNA extraction and purification utilizing liquid handling platforms and prepared Qiagen buffers used in the DNA extraction and purification process. In 2017, they joined Amyris as a Senior Associate Scientist, Associate Scientist III, and Associate Scientist II.

William Christie attended Sierra College from 2007 to 2010, and then went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of California, Davis from 2010 to 2013. William is also First Aid Certified and Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certified.
