Chief Growth Officer at Amyx

Eric Axelbank is the current Chief Growth Officer at Amyx. Prior to this, they served as the Chief, Capital and Performance Budget Division for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from October 2016 to January 2019. In this role, they were responsible for managing a $430 million budget comprised of multiple appropriations and oversaw the budget formulation, execution and analysis for an independent federal agency.

From September 2018 to January 2019, they also served as the Budget Officer for the Peace Corps, during which time they generated new and innovative concepts and implemented federal agency best practice methodologies used throughout the budget formulation cycle. Eric also briefed, justified and defended the budget to senior officials inside and outside the agency, served as the principal agency liaison to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and senior staff, and recommended agency level policies that impacted on substantive program goals and national priorities.

Prior to their work with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Eric Axelbank served as a Senior Financial Analyst for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from May 2014 to October 2016. In this role, they provided analytical and technical support for HHS' financial planning process and assisted in the development of the HHS annual performance plan. Eric also supported the development of HHS' Congressional Justifications for both House and Senate hearings, as well as developed numerous cost benefit analyses for various HHS initiatives.

Eric Axelbank has a certificate in enterprise leadership seminar from University of Virginia Darden School of Business, a CIO certification from National Defense University, an executive leadership development program certificate in leadership at the senior executive level from Center for Creative Leadership, Greensboro, NC, a master's degree in national security strategy from National War College, a master's degree in military operational art and science/studies from Air Command and Staff College, a master's degree in economics from University of Oklahoma, a contracting officer warrant from United States Navy Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, and a bachelor's degree in computer science from Hawaii Pacific University.

Eric Axelbank reports to William Schaefer, President & CEO. They work with Christy Mee - VP, Federal Civilian Programs, Aaron Mallin - Director, Capture Management, and Alex Forti - Director, Business Development.
