Aina Laguarta Alapont has worked in a variety of roles within the field of research and development. Aina began their career in 2016 as an R&D Engineer Project Leader at iVascular, followed by a role as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Unit of Biophysics and Bioengineering at Hospital Clínic. In this role, they designed, developed, and validated a novel lab-on-a-chip device to study the migration of cancer cells through microchannels and the effects of hypoxia in tumor malignancy. In 2020, they joined Anaconda BioMed as a Senior R&D Engineer and R&D Engineer.
Aina Laguarta Alapont obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Universitat de Barcelona in 2016. In 2019, they obtained a Calibration of Measuring Equipment Systems certification from INGECAL. In 2018, they obtained a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) certification from the Universitat de Barcelona. In 2017, they obtained an Autodesk Inventor course certification from CIM UPC.
