Nikolay Ryzhkov has been working in the software engineering field since 2006. Nikolay began their career as a Junior Developer at ABBYY. From 2007 to 2012, they worked as a Developer at NetStream, where they were involved in developing a cross-platform instant messenger using C++ 99, Qt 4, boost, socket, network commutation, http request, json and xml RPC, multithread and asynchronic programming, C++ template, meta-programming, and sqlite. Nikolay then worked at ivi.ru from 2012 to 2015 as a Senior Developer. During this time, they improved the logging system, optimized it using redis, created a real transaction system in redis, integrated Vertica as a primary storage for user events, created a full rollback ability, and used statsd for monitoring and profiling. Nikolay also improved content encoding by optimizing with ffmpeg, reducing encoding state, and adding support for DRM. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Software Developer at Yandex, where they were part of the Geo-navigation group and focused on developing algorithms and optimizing for highest quality. Currently, they are a Lead Software Engineer at Anagram, where they are part of a small startup team and helps people to get reimbursement from insurance companies.
Nikolay Ryzhkov has an extensive education history. From 2018 to 2023, they are currently studying Computer Science at Eötvös Loránd University. Prior to this, they obtained a non-consecutive higher education degree from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 2005. Nikolay also obtained a non-consecutive higher education degree from the Samara State Aerospace University in 2003.
