Chairman, Director, Board Member at Analytical Flavor Systems

Karl Gemperli has a diverse and extensive work experience. Karl is the Founding Partner of Leawood Venture Capital since September 2016. Additionally, they served as an Investment Committee member at Castor Ventures, a venture capital fund that supports MIT alumni in investing in ventures led by other MIT graduates. Karl has been involved in Analytical Flavor Systems as Chairman, Director, and Board Member since October 2018, where they contribute to the development of Gastrograph AI, an AI-powered platform that provides predictive human sensory perception for the food and beverage industry. Karl Gemperli is also a Board Member at Sorcero since March 2020, a company that provides cognitive technology solutions through their AI-powered Natural Language Intelligence platform. In addition, they serve as a Board Member for nDimensional, a company that democratizes digital twins and uses AI to optimize industrial operations. Karl Gemperli is a Board Member at Atomicorp since July 2020, where they contribute to the development of a comprehensive workload protection platform for enterprise data applications. Furthermore, they are a Director and Board Member at PRENAV since June 2019.

In terms of their earlier experience, Karl Gemperli founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Elecsys Corporation, a leading Industrial IoT solutions provider and custom electronic systems manufacturer. Karl was involved in the company from February 2000 to July 2016. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Operations at Airport Systems International, an aerospace technology company. Before that, they held the position of Director of Manufacturing at Goodrich Aerospace.

Karl Gemperli pursued their education in the field of engineering. From 1982 to 1986, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Aeronautical & Electrical Engineering. Following this, they enrolled at Boston University for the year 1986 to 1987, completing their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree specializing in Manufacturing Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Karl Gemperli also obtained additional certifications. In April 1995, they became Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) through APICS, followed by another certification as a Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) in the same month and year, also through APICS.
