Michael Somuk

Michael Somuk has worked in a variety of roles in the sciences since 2014. Michael began their career as a Tutor at Wright State University, where they tutored students in chemistry, math, anatomy and physiology, and psychology. In 2017, they joined Cargill as a Chemist II, managing and tracking production of two product lines in a high throughput environment, and managing a team of manufacturing and laboratory employees. In 2020, they assumed the role of Laboratory Operations Manager at GFS Chemicals, where they managed and coordinated a chemical manufacturing line, specified and maintained all lab consumables, reagents, and supplies, and managed production orders using Microsoft AX. Later in 2020, they took on the role of Laboratory Manager at Curaleaf, managing a team of technicians and manufacturing staff, establishing KPIs and reporting metrics, and leading all State of Ohio Cannabis control program inspection preparation and execution. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Quality and Document Control Manager at Ananda Scientific.
