Darlyn Smith

Darlyn Smith is an experienced educator specializing in special education, currently serving as a 2nd Grade Teacher and Interim 2nd Grade Lead Teacher at The Pingry School since August 2020. Darlyn has also worked as an ABA Therapist at Anchor Behavioral Solutions, providing one-on-one support for children with autism. Previous roles include serving as a Personal Assistant Teacher in a K-2 autistic classroom at Paterson Public Schools and assisting in the development of curricula for elementary students at Youth Consultation Service. Darlyn's extensive background in education is complemented by a Master of Education in Special Education from Fordham University and a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature from Albright College. Additionally, Darlyn has experience as an Assistant Dance Instructor and Summer Camp Counselor, highlighting strong skills in classroom management and student engagement.
