Wei Xu

Wei Xu has an extensive work experience in the field of security research and engineering. Wei is currently serving as the Co-Founder and VP of Engineering at Ancilia, Inc. since June 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at Palo Alto Networks starting from their position as a Summer Intern in 2011. Wei'sroles at Palo Alto Networks include VP of Security Research, Sr. Director of Security Research, Director of Security Research, Sr. Manager of Security Research, Manager of Internet Security Research, Principal Engineer, and Sr. Malware Research Engineer. Wei was responsible for leading and managing research teams, conducting malware research, and contributing to the development of internet security solutions. Wei Xu also worked as a Research Assistant at Pennsylvania State University from August 2008 to June 2012.

Wei Xu completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University between the years 2001 and 2005. Wei then pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at the same university from 2005 to 2007. Following that, Wei Xu attended Penn State University from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Doctoral degree in Computer Science. Prior to their university education, they attended NPU middle school from 1995 to 2001, but did not acquire any specific degree or field of study at this institution.
