Sierra McCormick has a diverse work experience in the education and healthcare industry. Sierra started their career as an Adjunct Instructor at WV Northern Community College in 2013 and held this position until 2017. In 2016, Sierra joined Ancora Education and served as the Medical Billing & Coding/Electronic Health Records Program Director until 2017. Sierra then transitioned to the role of Medical Assistant Program Director from 2017 to 2018. Sierra later joined Ross Education, LLC in 2018 as the Assistant Campus Director of Education until 2020. Sierra then took on the role of Associate Director from 2020 to 2021. Currently, Sierra is working as a Project Management Assistant at Ancora Education starting in 2021.

Sierra McCormick pursued their education in a chronological order. Sierra began their academic journey by attending West Virginia Northern Community College from 2009 to 2011, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Allied Health and Medical Assisting Services.
After completing their associate's degree, McCormick enrolled at West Liberty University from 2011 to 2012 and obtained their Bachelor's degree in General Studies. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended the University of Phoenix from 2013 to 2015, earning a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration/Education.
Building upon their educational achievements, McCormick later joined Capella University from 2016 to 2023, where they are currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree with a focus on Organizational Leadership.
Additionally, McCormick obtained two certifications to complement their education. In June 2011, they obtained a Medical Assistant certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants. Then, in December 2019, they acquired an Allied Health Instructor (AHI) certification from the American Medical Technologists institution.
