Joseph Deckard Mba

Joseph Deckard, MBA, SHRM-CP has a diverse range of work experience. Joseph started their career as a Licensed Agent Manager at Bloom Insurance Agency, where they managed a team of 110 licensed agents and handled various managerial responsibilities. Joseph then transitioned to the role of Pastor of Student Ministry and Family Life at Valley Mission Church of the Nazarene, where they organized soccer teams for 200 elementary students and mentored middle and high school students.

Joseph also served as the Pastor of Worship and Outreach at Schuyler Avenue Wesleyan Church, where they managed office operations and communication, taught small and large groups, and mentored middle and high school students. Joseph later became an Assistant Pastor at Trinity Wesleyan Church, where they managed non-profit communication, taught large groups, and recruited volunteers and leaders.

In 2018, Joseph worked as a Campus Pastor at Waterline Church, where they built a community, taught weekly, managed operations, and recruited volunteers. Joseph then joined Madison-Grant Jr./Sr. High School as a CTE Business Teacher, teaching entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, and other business principles using project-based learning methods.

Joseph also gained experience as a Social Media Strategist at MADISON-GRANT UNITED SCH CORP SCHOOL DISTRICT, where they developed and implemented social media strategies. Joseph later worked as a Claims Specialist - WCCS Deployed at State Farm, handling claims-related tasks.

Currently, Joseph works as a D26 CTE Business Teacher at Anderson Community Schools, where they continue to teach business subjects.

Throughout their career, Joseph has demonstrated strong leadership and teaching skills, along with the ability to recruit and manage volunteers. Joseph holds an MBA and a SHRM-CP certification.

Joseph Deckard has a diverse and extensive education history. Joseph obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Western Governors University in 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Bible/Biblical Studies at Indiana Wesleyan University from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, Joseph Deckard pursued music performance at Vincennes University from 2003 to 2004.

In terms of certifications, Joseph Deckard obtained the All-Lines Claims Adjuster (ACA) certification from Polk State College in January 2023. Joseph also holds the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM, which they obtained in June 2022. Joseph Deckard further received a Certificate of Career Specialist from Ivy Tech Community College in June 2021. In order to enhance their digital marketing skills, they completed The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing and Google Analytics certifications from Google in December 2019.
