Stephen Budihas has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Stephen started their career as an Operations Supervisor at YRC Freight from 1983 to 1986. Stephen then worked as a Recruitment Coordinator at Ingredion Incorporated for a short period before joining The Morning Call in 1988. At The Morning Call, Stephen held various roles, including Director of Human Resources from 1988 to 1999 and later Vice President of Human Resources from 2000 to 2009. During their time at The Morning Call, they successfully implemented change initiatives and transformed the Human Resources department into a strategic business partner.

From 2009 to 2011, Stephen worked at Diversified Information Technologies as Vice President of Talent Acquisition & Development. In this role, they implemented a talent acquisition and retention strategy and facilitated role clarity across the organization.

Since 2012, Stephen has been working at Andesa, where they have held multiple roles. Stephen started as a Human Resources Officer from 2012 to 2016 and facilitated a change initiative focused on enhancing the client experience. Subsequently, they became the Director of Business Operations from 2017 to 2020, where they launched a new business line and developed client support services. Currently, Stephen is serving as the Chief Operating Officer since 2021, responsible for the day-to-day operations and P&L results of the company. Overall, Stephen Budihas has extensive experience in human resources, operations management, and business development in the IT, insurance, and media industries.

Stephen Budihas earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, with a four-year span of study from 1979 to 1983. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Human Resources from the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business, completing it within a year between 1986 and 1987.

In terms of certifications, Stephen obtained several professional credentials throughout their career. Stephen achieved the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in May 2023. In April 2021, they earned the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Prior to that, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute, Inc. in March 2020.

Stephen also possesses a Business Process Management Certificate from AIIM International and has participated in various workshops and programs. These include the Emotional Competence Inventory from Hay Group, the FIRO-B Qualifying Program and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Qualifying Program from Type Resources, the GO Deep with DISC program from Switzer Resource Group, Inc., the Human Synergistics Foundation Workshop from Human Synergistics, the Introductory Gestalt Workshop from the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, and the Leading Bold Change program from Kotter International. Additionally, Stephen has acquired certification in Six Sigma Green Belt from Aveta Business Institute. The final dates of completion for these programs are not specified.
