Cody Mowery

Venture Fellow | Bio+health at Andreessen Horowitz

Cody Mowery is a Venture Fellow in the Bio+Health sector at Andreessen Horowitz since July 2022. Currently pursuing an MD/PhD at the University of California, San Francisco, Cody has been a PhD candidate in the Laboratories of Alex Marson and Jimmie Ye since May 2018, focusing on the genetic and epigenetic determinants of immune cell function. Previous experience includes serving as a Research Assistant and Lab Manager at the Lane Laboratory, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where Cody investigated factors associated with hematologic malignancies, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Zhang Laboratory, Moores Cancer Center, studying mechanisms of leukemogenesis. Additional roles include serving as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego and managing operations at Outback Climbing Center. Cody holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from UC San Diego and has also pursued education at Universidad de Belgrano.
