Martin Casado

Martin Casado is a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, a position held since April 2016. Prior experience includes serving as GM Networking and Security, SVP and Fellow, as well as CTO for Networking and Security at VMWare from August 2012 to April 2016. Martin co-founded Nicira Networks, Inc. in June 2007 and held the role of CTO until August 2012. Additionally, Martin worked as a Consulting Assistant Professor at Stanford University from September 2008 to January 2015 and contributed as a Computer Scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory from December 2000 to September 2006. Educational qualifications include a PhD and a Masters in Computer Science from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Northern Arizona University.
