Ian Brettell-Adams, PhD, currently serves as the Manager of Materials Development at ANDRITZ, overseeing a diverse R&D group focused on rubber, polyurethane, epoxy materials, and electronic devices while identifying risks and opportunities in project proposals for the director of R&D. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Scientist at Georgia-Pacific LLC, where novel analyses on paper products were performed, and collaboration occurred with engineers and scientists in polymer and analytical chemistry. Ian has also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Alabama, independent synthesis research in conjugated polymer chemistry, and served as a Water Plant Technician at Mt. Berry Water Works. Ian holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from The University of Alabama and a BS in Environmental Chemistry from Berry College.
