Douglas Rigterink

Douglas Rigterink is a seasoned naval architect with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as a Senior Naval Architect at Anduril Industries since May 2025. Prior to this role, Douglas held various positions at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division from August 2014 to May 2025, including Division Head (acting), Naval Architect, and Deputy Division Head. Douglas also contributed to the Naval Sea Systems Command from October 2017 to September 2023 as the Multi-Mission Surface Combatant Deputy Ship Design Manager and LCS Hull Systems Engineering Manager. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and a Master of Science in Industrial and Operations Engineering, both from the University of Michigan, where Douglas was also a Graduate Student Researcher from September 2010 to July 2014.
