John Scanlon

John Scanlon is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in loads, dynamics, and structural analysis within the aerospace and automotive industries. Currently serving as a Principal Loads & Dynamics Engineer at Anduril Industries since May 2023, John specializes in the Aircraft & Missiles team. Previously, as the Mechanical Analysis, Reliability & Test Manager at Embark Trucks, John led a team responsible for structural and thermal analysis as well as hardware testing. Earlier roles include Structural Analysis Engineer at Lyft, where efforts supported Level 5 autonomous vehicles, and Loads and Dynamics Engineer at SpaceX, focusing on payload safety during transport to the International Space Station. Other notable experiences include engineering roles at Pratt Miller supporting IndyCar and IMSA teams, along with various internships at D.P. Tool & Machine, Inc. and Swagelok.
