Stephen Thompson

Stephen Thompson is an accomplished mechanical engineer currently serving as Principal Mechanical Engineer at Anduril Industries since July 2024. Previously, Stephen held the role of Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer at Epirus, where significant contributions included the design and development of the "Leonidas" family of High-Power Microwave systems for counter-UAS applications. A solid background in aerospace and product development includes positions at Astronics CSC, Eaton, and Caterpillar Inc., with expertise in translating industrial designs into manufacturable solutions and enhancing product performance based on customer feedback. Stephen earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
