Dean Russell

Dean is a Senior Director at Anglepoint within the SAM Service Delivery Group, where he is focused on helping clients optimize their approach to software through superior governance, technology, and contract enablement, as well as effective vendor/publisher relationship management.

During Dean’s 30 years of experience in the IT sector, he has worked for a number of large, global IT companies and brings extensive knowledge of commercial, channel, operations, and compliance business practices to his role, which he applies to help Anglepoint’s clients meet their long-term strategies.

Throughout his career, Dean has built world-class teams that have tackled some of the most vexing challenges for his clients. Previously, Dean served as Founder and Managing Director of BlackRock Technologies, an independent SAM and audit defense consulting firm based in Ireland that was acquired by Anglepoint in 2019.

Prior to founding BlackRock Technologies, Dean led Dell Software’s global compliance program, where he was instrumental in negotiating complex license and settlement solutions. In total, he has led and coordinated thousands of compliance projects with settlement negotiations in excess of $500 million.
