Ann Buxton

Ann commenced working at Anglicare NT in 1996 and since that time has helped lead staff and services through changes associated with the expansion of the organisation.

Some of her many achievements are the addition of services in remote communities in the East Arnhem region; diversifying and growing the funding base; establishing a headspace centre, perinatal education and support services; and leading the quality improvement and accreditation process across the organisation.

Ann has worked in community services for over 30 years and specialises in youth work, women’s development, out of home care, homelessness responses, suicide prevention and community wellbeing.

Originally from Melbourne, she loves the Northern Territory and has lived here since 1986, apart from a couple of years in Fiji working in community development.
