Allan Rodel

Allan Rodel is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in project management and operations within the mining sector. Currently serving as the Regional Head of Projects for Africa at Anglo American since February 2020, Allan Rodel leads the Projects and Development Business function, ensuring high-quality stakeholder relationships and project delivery from feasibility to execution. Prior to this role, Allan Rodel was the Project Director for the Venetia Underground Project, overseeing a multi-national team focused on underground mining operations. Previous positions include Head of Operations at De Beers Group, where Allan Rodel managed three operating assets, and Mine General Manager at Gahcho Kué Mine, responsible for the largest new diamond mine. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (summa cum laude) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of South Africa, and a management development program from GIBS Business School.
