Danie Ungerer

Danie Ungerer is a seasoned professional in the mining and engineering sectors, currently serving as the Frontline Services Manager at Anglo American since October 2022, where responsibilities include the deployment and maintenance of operational technology and mining systems for Kumba. Danie previously held various managerial and engineering roles at Kumba Iron Ore from 2014 to 2022, including Section Manager for Mining Integrated Operations Centre and Fleet Management System, as well as positions as Load and Haul Engineer, Business Improvement Analyst, and Data Analyst. Danie's early career includes a secondment at Nuclear Structural Engineering in 2015 and a Graduate Civil Engineer role at Kumba Iron Ore in 2014. Academically, Danie achieved a Masters in Big Data Science and an Honour in Management of Technology from the University of Pretoria, following a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the same institution.
