Patrick Schmets

Patrick Schmets has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Patrick is currently serving as the Head of Group FP&A at EverZinc since March 2021. Prior to this, they held various roles at EVS Broadcast Equipment, including Head of Tax, Treasury, and Risk Management from October 2020 to March 2021, and Head of Tax, Accounting, and Controlling from January 2017 to September 2020. Before joining EVS Broadcast Equipment, they worked at Munters as the EMEA Business Controller for Air Treatment from February 2009 to January 2017, and at HEXPOL Compounding as the Financial Controller for Europe/Asia from March 2003 to February 2009. Patrick began their career at EY as a Financial Auditor from 2001 to 2003.

Patrick Schmets completed their Master's degree in Finance at the University of Liège from 1997 to 2001. Patrick then pursued a Master's degree in Taxation at the same university from 2006 to 2007. In 2018, they completed an Executive programme in Enterprise Risk Management at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management. Patrick also participated in an advanced development program at the Stockholm School of Economics in 2010. In 2016, they attended two short-term programs at Vlerick Business School, focusing on structuring and financing M&A deals, as well as making acquisitions work. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Fundamentals of Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management in November 2018. In 2009, they obtained the certification of Expert-comptable et conseiller fiscal interne certifié from ITAA - Institute for Tax Advisors and Accountants. Moreover, Patrick Schmets recently completed a Data analyst program at Université catholique de Louvain from 2020 to 2021, specializing in Statistics.
