Neil Fickling Beng

Neil Fickling BEng has extensive experience in mining engineering and project management across several prominent organizations. Currently serving as OEM Lead for the Simandou project at Rio Tinto since July 2023, Neil oversees engineering package design and supply. As a Mining Engineering Consultant with NA Engineering since May 2022, expertise is provided in plant process, maintenance, and material handling on-site. Neil has held multiple project management roles at Anglo American since March 2020 and at Sirius Minerals Plc. since January 2018, including managing the Woodsmith Project and port projects. Previous experience includes serving as Polyhalite Engineering Projects Manager at Cleveland Potash from 2013 to 2017 and as Chargehand at UK Coal from 1990 to 1993. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, alongside certifications in mining and mechanical engineering, occupational health and safety, and mechanics.
