Scott Cowie

Scott Cowie has an extensive background in mining and engineering management, currently serving in Mining Studies at Anglo American since February 2021 and contributing to the Production Centres Advisory Board at the Sustainable Minerals Institute since 2017. Previously, Scott was General Manager - Technical Services and Study Manager at PanAust from 2015 to 2021, and held the role of Open Pits Production Manager at Glencore Zinc for a short tenure in 2014. Scott's earlier experience includes positions as General Manager and Senior Mining Engineer at Tetra Tech between 2006 and 2014, and Mining Engineer at Xstrata Copper from 2001 to 2006. Scott holds a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology (2001-2009) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining from The University of Queensland (1998-2001).
