Tom Hethmon

Tom Hethmon possesses extensive experience in risk management, health, safety, and environmental assurance across various sectors, particularly in mining and manufacturing. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Risk & Safety Assurance at Anglo American since July 2022, Tom oversees the global operational risk management function. Previous roles include Principal at Hethmon Associates LLC, VP of Health & Safety at SSR Mining, and Head of HSE & CSR at KGHM International Ltd. Additionally, Tom directed the Center for Mining Safety and Health Excellence at the University of Utah and held several high-level positions focused on health, safety, and corporate governance in major organizations. Tom holds a BS in Kinesiology from UCLA and an MS in Health Science from California State University, Northridge.
