Wimpie Pienaar

Wimpie Pienaar currently serves as the Head of Logistics and Integrated Sales and Operating Planning at Anglo American since August 2020, having previously held the position of Head of Business Strategy and PMO. Prior to this role, Wimpie was the Principal Advisor for Strategy & PMO at Kumba Iron Ore from January 2017 to July 2020 and served as Senior Manager for Exco Strategy PSO from May 2014 to December 2016. Wimpie’s career at Kumba began in March 2009 as Project Controls Manager, following a tenure as Financial Manager for Projects at Xstrata Coal from March 2007 to March 2009. Wimpie holds an LLB from the University of Pretoria, a BCompt Hons CTA from the University of South Africa, and a B Com Law from the University of Pretoria. Early education was completed at Hendrik Verwoerd High School.
