Sung-Joo L. has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. They began their career as a Project Engineer at Kinhill (Halliburton), where they managed commercial and infrastructure projects. After that, they worked at Water Corporation as a Design Manager, leading the design management of Australia's first seawater desalination plant. Sung-Joo then joined Rio Tinto, where they held multiple positions including Manager of Growth Programs, Principal Advisor Strategic Planning, Study & Project Director, and Engineering Manager, overseeing various projects and initiatives. Next, they moved to FLSmidth as the Vice President and Head of Western Mining Hub, responsible for delivering project execution portfolios in the Americas and other regions. Following their time at FLSmidth, Sung-Joo became the Vice President of Global Products & Engineering at Weir, ESCO Division, focusing on growing profitability and developing product roadmaps. Currently, they are the Senior Vice President Nevada Projects at AngloGold Ashanti, simultaneously holding responsibility for Global Projects. In this role, Sung-Joo is responsible for managing key business critical projects and leading the Project Management Services function. Sung-Joo L. has a diverse education history.
