Uri Shinar

Uri Shinar has worked in a variety of roles since 1979. Uri began their career as an executive producer in an independent international production company, where they developed animation creations that were circulated globally. Uri launched the first animation series produced in Israel, “Lights,” as well as the first animated special, “The Animated Hagada,” both of which were distributed worldwide. Uri also created content for television and developed merchandise based on their original productions. In 1995, Uri became the CEO and president of Keshet Broadcasting, where they worked as an executive producer. From 2006 to 2011, Uri served as the chairman and founder of Aniboom, the world’s first virtual animation studio. During their time at Aniboom, they mobilized a workforce of 7,000+ independent professional animators in over 70 countries to deliver state-of-the-art animated content for the motion picture, television, home-entertainment, digital gaming, and advertising industries. Most recently, Uri has been a consultant and board member for Reshet since 2011.

Uri Shinar obtained a Bachelor's degree in Education and sociology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem between 1976 and 1979. Uri then went on to obtain a Masters in Mass Communications from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
