Lisa Canning

Lisa Canning is an accomplished compliance professional with extensive experience in regulatory oversight across various banking and insurance sectors. Currently serving as Head of Compliance at Animal Friends since December 2022, Lisa previously held key roles at Aldermore Bank PLC, where responsibilities included Group Head of Compliance and Head of Regulation and Change, overseeing conduct and prudential regulation as well as regulatory relationships. Prior roles include senior management positions at The Co-operative Bank plc, Carole Nash Insurance, and Royal Liver Assurance, where Lisa provided critical compliance guidance and regulatory advice. Lisa's educational background includes a Law degree from Chester Business School and advanced certifications in AML, Financial Crime Prevention, and Compliance from the International Compliance Association in association with the University of Manchester Business School.
