Charlene Barry

Charlene - wîhkaskwa iskwew - manages content, social media, and multimedia projects for both Animikii and their digital communications clients. She is Anishinaabe and Métis and currently lives on Treaty 6 Territory in the traditional homelands of the Niitsitapi, A’aninin, Nehiywak, Anishinaabe, Dene, Nakota Sioux, and Métis Peoples. Charlene has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Alberta in Anthropology with a Minor in Classical Studies and started in communications through the Alberta horse racing industry.

Today, Charlene thrives on being a generalist, knowing a little bit of everything and understanding how the different parts of a greater puzzle come together to form a bigger picture. She also has 2 retired racehorses (Leo and Joey), 2 cats (Olive and Yoda), and a dog - Solo - who is a regular on Animikii calls and has his very own meeting chair.
