B Duncan X Lascelles is an accomplished veterinarian and researcher, serving as the Co-Founder of AniV8 since April 2020, and holding the position of Dr. J. McNeely and Lynne K. DuBose Distinguished Professor of Musculoskeletal Health at North Carolina State University since February 2002. Lascelles's research focuses on developing algometry methods in spontaneous disease animal models to better understand pain in comparison to traditional induced models. Previously, Lascelles was a Scientist In Residence at Centrexion Therapeutics Corp., contributing to clinical study development and grant writing. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Medicine from the University of Bristol, alongside advanced surgery training at the University of Cambridge. Lascelles's background also features extensive veterinary training and research in opioids, oncological surgery, and small animal surgery.
