Ken Wagner

Ken Wagner has a diverse range of work experience in the education sector. Ken is currently working as the Chief Operating Officer at AnLar since May 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Advisor at AnLar from November 2020 to May 2022.

Ken has also held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Otis Educational Systems, Inc. starting from March 2023. Ken operates their own strategic advisory business, kmkwagner Advisory, since April 2019.

Moreover, Ken has worked as a Senior Advisor at the National Council on Teacher Quality from November 2020 to October 2021. Ken held the role of Senior Fellow for Education Policy and Practice at Brown University's Annenberg Institute from July 2019 to June 2020.

Ken has also served as a Board Member at the National Assessment Governing Board from February 2016 to September 2019. Ken held the position of Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education at the Rhode Island Department of Education from August 2015 to April 2019.

Prior experience includes various roles at the New York State Education Department, such as Senior Deputy Commissioner for Education Policy, Deputy Commissioner for Curriculum, Assessment, and Educational Technology, and Associate Commissioner for Curriculum, Assessment, and Educational Technology.

Ken's earlier career included positions at Eastern Suffolk BOCES as a Program Administrator from August 2007 to February 2009, and at the Shoreham-Wading River Central School District as the Director of Administrative Services and Middle School Principal from January 2004 to July 2007.

Ken Wagner obtained their Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Hofstra University, which they attended from 1986 to 1990. Ken then pursued a Ph.D. in Clinical/School Psychology at Hofstra University from 1990 to 1996.
