Dr Abigail Miranda has a diverse work experience in the field of educational and child psychology. Dr Abigail'smost recent role is Head of Early Years and Prevention at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Honorary Lecturer at The University of Manchester since November 2016.

Before their academic career, Dr Miranda gained practical experience as an Educational Psychologist - Early Years at Harrow Council from August 2008 to February 2022. Dr Abigail also served as a Connexions Intensive Personal Advisor, supporting vulnerable NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training) back into education, and had training in Triple P Parenting and working systemically with families during this time.

Dr Miranda pursued their Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology at University College London from September 2013 to August 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Trainee Educational Psychologist at Ealing Council (London Borough of Ealing) from September 2014 to July 2016.

Earlier in their career, Dr Miranda worked as an SEN Learning Support Assistant at The Crest Girls' Academy in 2007 and as a Personal Assistant at Brent Council from February 2006 to 2007.

Dr Abigail Miranda earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from the University of Reading. Dr Abigail then went on to pursue a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational and Child Psychology from UCL, which they completed in the years 2013-2016. In addition to their academic qualifications, Dr Miranda has also obtained certifications in relevant areas, including being qualified to administer the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule from AS DIRECTIONS and being a Triple P trainer.
