Guru Swamy

Guru Swamy has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering. Guru currently holds the position of Lead Data Engineer at Annalect, starting in May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at American Water as a Data Engineer from May 2018 to April 2021, where they led and supported projects, specialized in the Hadoop stack of technologies, and was responsible for data availability and design governance. Before American Water, Guru Swamy was a Data Engineer at MA Department of Children and Families from August 2016 to April 2018, where they were involved in the complete software development life cycle, worked with data serialization formats, and developed complex SQL queries. Guru also worked as a Database/Big Data Engineer at Armstrong Flooring, Inc. from March 2016 to July 2016, and as an Oracle Developer at Mott MacDonald from September 2014 to February 2016.

Guru Swamy's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Analytics and Information Management from Rutgers Business School, which they pursued from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Wright State University from 2013 to 2014. Guru also holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from JNTUH College of Engineering Hyderabad, which they completed from 2008 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Guru Swamy has obtained several certifications. These include the AWS Certified Database - Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2022, AMC: Clean Room Analytics Practitioner from AWS in August 2022, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty from AWS in May 2022, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from AWS in February 2021, and AWS Certified Developer - Associate from AWS in August 2018.
