Quan Yuan

Associate Director Engineer at Annalect

Quan Yuan has a diverse and extensive work experience. Quan began their career in 2004 as a Software Engineer at Shudun Inc, where they worked until 2005. Quan then served as a Teaching Assistant at Peking University from 2003 to 2006. Quan went on to work as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Florida State University from 2006 to 2012.

In 2013, Quan joined the University of Plymouth as an Associate Lecturer, a position they held until 2014. From 2014 to 2018, they worked at iotec Global as a Senior Software Engineer and Data Scientist, where they were responsible for various tasks such as designing and implementing real-time bidding systems, developing web applications, and creating data analysis solutions. During their time at iotec Global, Quan received recognition for their exceptional performance, winning awards for being the best employee and top performer.

Currently, Quan is working at Annalect as an Associate Director Engineer, a role they took on in 2021.

Quan Yuan obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Northwest University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Quan then pursued a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics with a focus on Cryptology from Peking University from 2003 to 2006. Quan later completed their PhD in Mathematics with a specialization in Computer Algebra from Florida State University, attending from 2006 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Quan Yuan has also obtained several certifications. In September 2018, they completed the Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera. In December 2016, they obtained the Introduction to Linux certification (LFS101x.2) from edX. Furthermore, in August 2015, Quan acquired the Scalable Machine Learning certification (CS190.1x) from edX.
