Jason McKim

Jason McKim is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in financial law and regulatory compliance. Currently serving as Associate General Counsel at Annaly Capital Management since May 2014, McKim specializes in trading, hedging, and financing significant assets for a publicly traded REIT, managing various regulatory changes. Prior experience includes a role as an Associate at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, where McKim drafted and negotiated complex financial documents, as well as a Summer Associate position focusing on bankruptcy and structured finance. McKim’s legal journey began with an internship at the Legal Aid Justice Center, and technical roles in library technology support further complemented a strong academic background with a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.S. in Psychology from William & Mary.
