Annauma Community Foundation
Sarah Verkley currently serves as a Communications & Stewardship Specialist at Annauma Community Foundation since December 2023, following a role as Communications & Administrative Coordinator. Previously, Sarah worked as a Research Fellow at Social Innovation Canada from June to December 2022, and as a Communication Assistant at Riverbend Community Association - Calgary from October 2021 to August 2022. Sarah also has extensive experience in administrative support as an Administrative Support Specialist at Alberta Health Services from March 2012 to August 2022. Sarah is pursuing a degree in Communications with a focus on Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication at Mount Royal University, with an expected completion date of April 2024.

Annauma Community Foundation
Annauma is short for Annaumakkaijiit which is an Inuktitut (Inuit language) word meaning helping people to stay ahead. Annauma Community Foundation is the first community foundation in Nunavut.
