Walter J. Giblin

Physician at Anne Arundel Dermatology

Dr. Walter J. Giblin has been practicing as a Board-Certified dermatologist in Montgomery County since 1992. A native of Massachusetts, Dr. Giblin graduated from Georgetown University undergraduate and medical schools. After completing his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center he served in the US Army Medical Corps and then started his private practice career in Potomac and Rockville Maryland.

Dr. Giblin has been active and held leadership positions in numerous professional and civic organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, the Maryland State Medical Society and the Washington, D.C. Dermatological Society. He has authored articles in prominent dermatological journals and given many lectures to medical and community groups. He has been a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine (Dermatology) at Georgetown University School of Medicine.

Dr. Giblin has participated in many skin cancer screening events including ones for the U.S. Congress and the Baltimore Orioles. He also served as a team physician and dermatology consultant for local high school wrestling and sports teams and has volunteered as a youth coach for youth baseball, basketball and lacrosse teams in Montgomery County.

Dr. Giblin has received numerous awards during his career, including being named one of Washington, D.C.’s top dermatologists by Washingtonian Magazine, Consumer Checkbook Magazine and Castle Connelly Medical.
