William Bolton is an experienced educator and cultural advocate with a focus on Tsimsean culture. Currently serving as a Teacher for the Annette Island School District since August 2021, Bolton also contributes to the Alaska State Council on the Arts as a member of the Statewide Teaching Artist Roster since July 2016. Bolton has been a Tour Guide for the Metlakatla Indian Community Tourism since April 2015, where storytelling and engaging audiences are key responsibilities. In addition, Bolton worked as a Teaching Artist at the Sealaska Heritage Institute in June 2016, emphasizing traditional art forms and cultural performances. Prior experience includes a long tenure in fish culture with the Metlakatla Indian Community from September 1989 to April 2015. Education was completed at Metlakatla High School.
