Carl Droste

Carl Droste has extensive experience in the software engineering field. Carl currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Annex Cloud, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Softworld as a Java Technical Lead, leading a team of 8 engineers on a software development project for USAA Bank. Carl also worked at Cisco as a Leader of Software Engineering, managing a team of 13 engineers and overseeing the development of features and patches for the Cisco BroadWorks platform. Before Cisco, they held the role of Software Engineering Manager in the Solutions Group at BroadSoft, where they managed a team of 10 engineers and oversaw numerous features and patches for the BroadWorks product. Additionally, they have held positions at Genband, Tekelec Inc., and VocalData, where they undertook various software engineering roles, including Director of Software Engineering and Senior Manager of OAM&P. These roles involved leading teams, managing projects, and developing innovative solutions for different companies and products.

Carl Droste holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington. In addition, they have obtained certifications including the Cisco Security Green Belt from Cisco Systems in 2019 and the Certification of Achievement - Leadership Development Program I & II from Tekelec in 2005.
