Alan Stonebraker is a seasoned professional in the fields of illustration, graphic design, and visual communication, currently serving as the Illustration Editor at Annual Reviews since October 2010. In this role, Alan supervises the production cycle for scientific graphics and collaborates with authors to enhance illustrations for consistency and style compliance. Also, as the owner of Stonebraker Design Works since May 2005, Alan specializes in creating effective visual communication and consulting on information graphics. Previous experience includes positions such as Design and Production Manager at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, International Design Manager at UTStarcom, Inc., Art Director at Science Magazine, Multimedia Specialist at Project 2061, and Senior Imaging Specialist at the SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine. Alan holds a Master's degree in Anatomy/Medical Illustration and a Bachelor's degree in Art as Applied to Science. Additionally, Alan is a Certified Professional Coach in Coaching for Transformation.
