Rick Herbert is a local real estate investor and entrepreneur that has partnered to create several businesses throughout California, including two very popular businesses in Sonoma county; the Marina at Lake Sonoma and Sports City indoor soccer centers. Educated with a BS degree in Natural Resource Planning from Humboldt State University, he started his career working for the California Coastal Commission and then the California Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. In his early twenties he started a pier design/build company in Lake Tahoe that ultimately lead to ownership in Camp Richardson Resort and Marina, Lake Tahoe’s largest summer resort.
Mr. Herbert has recently stepped away from more than 30 years on the Board of Directors of the Marina Recreation Association, most of those years as Vice President of Northern California lakes. Currently Mr. Herbert is serving on the Board of Directors of The Friends of Lake Sonoma as well as the Anova Board of Directors
