Alastair Paton

Alastair Paton began their work experience as Director of Risk Assurance Services at PwC Trinidad & Tobago in November 2003. Alastair held this position until October 2019 when they were promoted to Executive Director of Risk Assurance Services. In April 2021, Alastair joined The ANSA McAL Group as the Head of Group Internal Audit & Enterprise Risk Management.

Alastair Paton received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Accountancy and Mathematics from the University of Dundee, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Prior to their university education, they attended Lancaster Royal Grammar School from 1996 to 1998. In terms of certifications, Alastair obtained the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from the Institute Of Internal Auditors in February 2018. Alastair also earned the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in July 2013, and became a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in June 2013. Additionally, they acquired the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) credential from the Information Systems and Control Association (ISACA) in June 2007.
