Maxine Handelman

Maxine Handelman has extensive experience in Jewish education and community building, currently serving as the Director of Family Life & Learning at Anshe Emet Synagogue since 1996, where pathways to Jewish life and community are created for families with young children. Prior roles include Young Families Educator at The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism from 2004 to July 2017, Early Childhood Education Specialist from 1992 to 2012, and a colleague at the Alliance for Jewish Early Education from 1994 to 2010. Maxine Handelman holds degrees in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks College and Jewish Education from HUC-JIR RHSOE, as well as an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
