Dee Widner has a diverse work experience in the field of eLearning and instructional design. Dee started their career in 1999 as a Teacher's Aide, Computer Lab Teacher, and Webmaster in a school district in Illinois. From there, they joined Microsoft India GTSC in 2008, where they held various roles in the Culture and Communication Team, including Content Delivery Lead, Quality Lead, and Culture and Communication Specialist.

In 2016, Dee joined ansrsource as a Lead Learning Designer, responsible for designing learning materials. Dee then progressed to become a Practice Manager, leading a team of instructional designers and collaborating with cross-functional teams. In this role, they also provided estimations for projects and wrote proposals. Dee's role expanded further as a Senior Manager II, where they managed a team of instructional designers, graphic designers, and developers to create eLearning content for corporate and higher education clients. Dee also played a significant role in developing short form learning courses.

Dee also obtained certifications in "Navigating Ambiguity," "Psychological Safety: Clear Blocks to Innovation, Collaboration, and Risk-Taking," "Performance Management: Conducting Performance Reviews," and "Developing Mental Toughness for Leadership" from LinkedIn in 2023. Previously, in 2020, they obtained certifications in "COVID-19: TACKLING THE NOVEL CORONAVIRUS" from the London School of Hygiene, "Plagues, Pestilence and Pandemics: Are You Ready?" from Griffith University. Dee also has language certifications, including "Duolingo German Fluency: Intermediate" in 2016 from Duolingo and "Goethe Zertifikat A1 Start Deutsch" in 2012 from the Goethe-Institut Bangalore. Additionally, they obtained a "Facilitator's Certificate to Train and Coach Cultural Detective" from Cultural Detective and an "Instructional Design Certificate of Participation" from 4-C Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. It is not specified when these last two certifications were obtained.
