Dr. Ismail Bhana

Dr. Ismail Bhana started their work experience in 2001 as a Technical Editor at Wrox Press. Dr. Ismail then worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Reading from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, they joined Pixsta / Empora Ltd as a Senior Java Developer. Dr. Ismail later worked at ioko as a Developer and Lead Developer from 2009 to 2011. Dr. Ismail then became a Lead Developer at KIT digital, Inc from 2011 to 2012. Dr. Ismail also served as a Technical Lead and Software Engineer at Visibility Asset Management Ltd from 2012 to 2016. From 2016 to 2022, they worked at MICHELIN Connected Fleet as a Junior Architect and later as an Architect. Currently, they are the Head of Engineering at Answer Pay, a Fintech startup based in Leeds, UK.

Dr. Ismail Bhana has a strong educational background in computer science and artificial intelligence. Dr. Ismail obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence from the University of Birmingham between 1998 and 2001. Dr. Ismail then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Network Centred Computing at the University of Reading from 2002 to 2003. Building upon their prior education, Dr. Bhana completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science at the University of Reading from 2003 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Dr. Bhana obtained certification as an "AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate" from Amazon Web Services in May 2018.
